Being implemented in Harfbuzz (being the future text-shaper (am i right here?) in GIMP

  • Font selector and dialog: Design a better, more usable, font chooser dialog with internationalized font preview in GTK+, OpenOffice.org, The GIMP
  • Desktop-wide font configuration GUI: Should support font grouping, per font rendering options, etc. Closely related to font dialog. Fontmatrix may be a good start.
