- printing must be an integral part of core GIMP, not an extra plugin
- placing on paper needs to be done in the main window, creatively and hands-on
argumentation chain
- product vision: high end photo and print-oriented original art
- the whole point for GIMP is placing it on paper, is still part of the workflow producing results
- also color-fidelity
