# View Visible-from-this-Layer > add another possibility of type view: the current view type is always to 'visible, my proposal is to add other chain-visible-layers ('set view from of this layer'). When you are working with multi layers, many times, certain layers are key of a process, some examples could be:
+
# View of a Layer > to have the possibility to have two type views: current and a specific layer (set this layer as a view).
## View per-layer is also a good scratchpad to add refs and pieces of own work to use in different ways and circumstances during the work session.
+
Is useful to have a View of a Layer? So, have the possibility of the two type views: current and a specific layer (set this layer as a view).
## Building swatches palettes directly on canvas layer. Many artists, photographers and painters, use the palette painted directly on canvas. If we have the possibility of different view layers... we can have the palette in the same .xcf archive and use them.
+
I am imagining the usage... it seems cute the idea. For example, inking task view independently of the colorizing task:
## Tonal control > see the painting/photo in gray tones. Normally, is necessary time in time verify how is the balance of the tonal composition. With this kind view is possible to have two different stack views at same time. In this way is possible to work directly, for example, directly on layer colors showing my process of colorizing and same time to see the result of tonal control in another view... without the necessity to 'on' and 'off' recursively any time that you are interested to see the in progress of the art. [see a attachment: view-from-this-layer_request.jpg]
+
\_Inking Layer > where you drawing with ink tool, e.g. > View Inking
## In the two first cases, this approach is good mainly to maintains all refs and swatches colors in same archive.
+
\_Colorizing Layer > where you paint the scene. > View Colorize
## In the second case, this permits that we can to use this kind view as a scratchpad with high bit precision palette although color swatches painted directly on ... with the advantage that you are using the same color space, and also is saved in the same archive.
+
Visible View > View of Inking Layer + Colorizing Layer.
## We can see this approach on MyPaint, where we have a scratchpad.
+
In this way I have the possibility to see separately each layer of my process and have the focus in any kind of my work.
 +
You can imagine, for instance, a Layer with Chroma to control the tonal composition...
 +
is better to see what you is painting also in this layer as mask or correction... and not only to see the final result in a view of 'Visible View' (current).

## The enhancements on View are very useful to many areas, including the painting. # Add on dialog lists with arrows to scrolling: the behavior of current cursor is very imprecise and difficult to use with the stylus tablet, mainly, when the list is great. The unique way that I have found, with stylus in hand, is to select/click an asset of the list and use the keyboard arrows to do scrolling. With the wheel of the mice works fine.

Is useful to have a View of a Layer? So, have the possibility of the two type views: current and a specific layer (set this layer as a view).
I am imagining the usage... it seems cute the idea. For example, inking task view independently of the colorizing task:
\_Inking Layer > where you drawing with ink tool, e.g. > View Inking
\_Colorizing Layer > where you paint the scene. > View Colorize
Visible View > View of Inking Layer + Colorizing Layer.
In this way I have the possibility to see separately each layer of my process and have the focus in any kind of my work.
You can imagine, for instance, a Layer with Chroma to control the tonal composition...
is better to see what you is painting also in this layer as mask or correction... and not only to see the final result in a view of 'Visible View' (current).
Perhaps, is useful to have the possibility to name the views, or on the status bar... see which layer is being used to each view.
    1. The enhancements on View are very useful to many areas, including the painting. When you are working with multi layers, many times, certain layers are key of a process, imagines for example: when you are working in Color or Chroma layer to balance the values of grays... as tonal composition. Would be interesting to have two different views... a view to Chroma layer and another of layer below with the work.
  1. Add on dialog lists with arrows to scrolling: the behavior of current cursor is very imprecise and difficult to use when the list is great. Is possible to use the wheel of the mice, and works fine. But with graphical tablets normally we use the stylus to select the cursor... and in these cases is very hard scrolling in fine tune. The unique way that I have found is to select an asset and after with the keyboard arrows to do scrolling.
  2. Action Shortcuts to the Modes on Paint tools (on Krita [1]).
  3. Templates to Digital Painting
    1. Preparing templates ready-to-use to some painting techniques, e.g, watercolors.
Basic Painting
\_Work transparent layer, and so it has an alpha channel.
\_Background layer + alpha channel (texture or color).
Basic Watercolor

\_Work transparent layer, and so it has an alpha channel (if implemented blends on transparent layers, possible to use all blend modes on brushes). Blend indicated could be Multiply, Darken Only.
